Quote of the day: A miracle is when the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. A miracle is when one plus one equals a thousand.”  ~ Frederick Buechner, The Alphabet of Grace

Trees by the lake in the fog

Waking up, walking to my kitchen, looking out at a foggy world – an ordinary day – and it’s all a miracle!  I’ve been longing for a good foggy morning to get out and take a few photos.  This morning after exercising at the pool, I walked across the road to the nearby lake and shot these photos.  Amazing to have such mild weather still in Minnesota.  I’m loving this winter.

I am feeling so blessed these days.  After 6 months straight of back and hip pain, I am almost pain-free and it feels good to move!  What a miracle!  What ordinary miracles can you recognize today?

I live in Oregon, but I felt nearly the same way this morning. It was foggy, with the sun shining through. I grabbed my cameras and headed to a nearby lake. My favorite shots of the morning are of a great American egret catcing a fish. Thanks for the inspiring post. I’m reblogging it to my miracles – miracahills – blog, if you don’t mind. I especially like the shot of the water, trees and ducks. Glad your pain is nearly gone.

Thank you Danita, for reblogging my post! I’m glad you liked it. Oh, I would like to see your photo of American egret catching a fish – not much of that kind of action on our frozen lakes. Maybe I can capture some good fish house photos out on the ice tomorrow and post them soon.
