Quote of the day:  “I see the Moon/And the Moon sees me/God bless the Moon/And God bless Me!” – Nursery Rhyme

Full Moon Last Night - View from my front yard

Last night the moon was full.  I had some guests over for dinner so didn’t have a lot of time to experiment, but I did take about 10 minutes to go outside with camera and tripod.  Here are two of the photos I took.  I played around with different exposures, especially under-exposing most of the photo so that the moon was bright and clear.  I’m still not totally happy with what I captured, but stay tuned — next full moon I’ll try again from somewhere without so many trees in the view.  I love taking just a few moments to go outside and look up at the night sky and marvel at the beauty.  The moon and the stars always make me feel how vast the universe is and remind me that we are all made of star dust.

🙂 I remember you singing that to me in the car when I was little. I was looking at the same moon and singing the same silly little nursery rhyme to myself as I was driving home that night.
